"Let food be thy medicine." ~Hippocrates

Diet and Lifestyle Counseling

A famous 12th century Chinese Acupuncturist named Li Dong Yuan set the presipous for Eastern Medicine by stating that a healthy digestive system is of the upmost importance of health, and that any imbalance in it should be the priority in treatment. We all can relate to this. When we don't eat well, we definitely don't feel our best. Over time, this can cause digestive upset, acid reflux, migraines, skin issues, auto-immune disease, depression -- the list goes on. I make it my priority as well to help my patients find the best way to eat as nature intended: in the most balanced way. I take a weekly trip to the South Pasadena Farmer's Market with a group of my patients, to help them determine what fruits and vegetables might be best for their individual needs. It is very inspiring for them and a lot of fun too! I also partner with Standard Process to bring my patients the option of encorporating whole food nutrition from seed to supplement. They are extremely high quality and I have myself have seen great changes whilst using them.  I use Evergreen Herbal Formulas for many of my patients, which have undergone a number of clinical research studies and rounds of testing, yielding pharmaceutical-level production. The Weston A. Price foundation is a safe haven for finding our way back to eating as nature intended it -- in a balanced, pro-biotic way, without additives, pesticides, GMO's, the lot. I often use their recipes daily, and am happy to share my experience with my patients.

A large part of my practice is curtailing a dietary and lifestyle plan that fits your needs and the needs of your family. I am here to support you in anyway I can! Here are a few links to read more about the dietary and lifestyle practices I encorporate into your appointments with attention and care:
